REVEALED: The Cross Culture Project

Feb-Mar, 2023

The Cross Culture Project's "REVEALED", at World Trade Center Oculus in New York City, is an interactive art experience conceived by American expressionist painter Al Johnson and 9 student artists from Parsons School of Design.

Al Johnson collaborated with the student artists from Parsons School of Design to create masks depicting the cultural and ethnic intersections that define our world as well as our city in terms of values, heritage, and artistic styles.

In the late stages of the project, the student artists were assisted in minting their artworks into the virtual gallery by the global virtual platform Spatial. The digitally scanned studio and physical exhibition are also re-created and displayed in The Cross Culture Project's VR gallery, a virtual gallery accessible to anyone from anywhere.
